Baby girl

Our dear friend Davina is becoming a mum for the second time, so on the weekend we celebrated with a long lunch. There is nothing better than the mix of great food, the best of friends and little lolly bags to take home at the end of the day. I’m very blessed to have such great friends around me, love you girls! The only thing we can do now is to wait for the arrival of the new addition to our group, so excited to meet her!

Coffee Table

Our hunt for a coffee table with the label “just right” had been going on for a few weeks when we snapped one up on the weekend. The truth is that I knew all along what I wanted, but it took some time for me to reassure my other half that this was the table for us. He was a little unsure about it and to be honest I think he thought it looked weird! Then last Saturday we went back to the shop and had another look. He finally agreed it would be a cool addition to our otherwise streamlined room. The only thing I had in the back of my mind all along was the colour.. I just didn’t think that the natural wood would look quiet right with the rest of the furniture, I thought a couple of white washes would make it perfect. I decided to take one battle at the time and kept quiet about my thoughts about the change I wanted to make to our brand new, not so cheap, piece of furniture.. As you can see – I gave it a nice wash of white colour in the end!

Glad Påsk

Lovely Easter holiday! This is the time for Swedish kids to dress up as påskkärringar (Easter witches) in headscarves and paint their cheeks red with lots of freckles, before they go on their candy hunt. I remember knocking on every neighbors door on our street and in exchange of giving them a drawing we had made earlier or singing a song for them, they would give us Easter treats. Later that night, according to the tradition, we all pretended we would fly to “Blåkulla” (The Blue Mountain) for a big party with all of the other Easter witches. Ohh good old memories!

Point + Shoot: Weekend by the beach

We swapped our inner city apartment for a family house by
the beach this weekend. We had promised to look after my fiancés parents two cats
and dog so off we went. We enjoyed ourselves from the moment we arrived. There
is something special about falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean with a cat
curled up closely to you. We started the mornings with pancakes and numerous
cups of tea reading the paper, we never take time to just sit down and read the
paper, so this was a relaxing change. We are now back in the spinning wheel and
I will miss the morning walks along the beach with the dog. Lets just say that
we will be more than happy to cat and dog sit again!

Point + Shoot: My Weekend

Playing along with sunny+scout

This photograph summarize my weekend quiet well. I have
taken time to relax, spent quality time with my girlfriends and enjoyed long
walks along our beautiful coastline with my fiancé. I couldn't have asked for
anything more to prepare myself for a busy week at the office. I wish you all a
good week!

Aussie beach home

We’ve come home from a lovely time with our friends in their
beach house down south. The house is set amongst trees with views over the
ocean and the beach is only a short walk away. The timber house has got lots of character and a great home feeling. This is one of my favourite places to go to and the home is always filled with the best of friends. I feel so relaxed there
and I come home to Perth with a new fresh approach.

My Sunday

My Sunday has been quiet and relaxing, just the way I like it! I walked around the river with a friend, it’s amazing how easy it is to talk about things while walking. The 9km was over so quickly, love it when I get distracted while doing exercise. When I got home I had worked up my sweet tooth, I decided to make muffins but as always when I bake I just can’t stick to a recipe. Today I wanted to make healthier muffins packed with good energy. The result is almond, banana and honey muffins with a dark chocolate centre. YUM!

Weekend!

I have had a nice and relaxing morning, woke up early and decided to get up and start the weekend. Had a nice cup of tea with tea leafs from Gotland and a perfectly boiled egg (thanks to our thermomix). After that I quickly cleaned up the apartment which is now fresh and sparkling clean. To top it all off I went to the flower shop and bought my favourite flowers to place on our table. All I have to do now is to get myself ready because I have lunch planed with a dear friend of mine that I haven’t see for months. She has just come home from London and I can’t wait to hear all her stories.
Happy Weekend Everyone! ♥
