These photos are from our day off last week, I had my camera with me to capture our day. We
started the morning early with the Anzac dawn service and then we had breakfast
at Tarts. In the afternoon we were invited to our dear friends C & Z’s
house for champagne, wood fired pizzas and pork crackling. It was so yum and we
had the best day together!

Skåne
Pics: Skeppsholmen
I have found another one of those “Oh so Perfect” houses in
Sweden, the only downside is the location. If we are one day going to be proud
owners of a Swedish little gem, I would like to be closer to where my older brother
lives and this one is just a little bit too far away. This house is a real
dream though with its original kept character combined with a new fresh look
with amazing polished concrete floors and a great industrial kitchen. Love all
the white walls and big open spaces ♥

Excitement!
Photography
by Natasja Kremers
This picture made me so excited and I truly cannot wait for
November this year! I visit our photographers website all the time and
when I saw this stunning picture it sent a rush of excitement through my body.
It is so exciting to plan our wedding, but I have to confess that parts of the
planning can be stressful. Its when I see photographs like this that I get
reminded what the day is all about. It’s the day that I will marry the love of
my life!! We are so happy that Natasja will be our photographer on our special
day, I have admired her wedding photography for years and now its finally our
time!

Rough glossiness
Pics: Anna Kern
As a break from all things white, I really like the look of this kitchen. It has got great industrial character with black stained cabinets and light globe bases made of brass. I like how they have used glossy tiles in combination with the rough feel of the rest of the kitchen.

Silver Egg
We have had a nice Easter weekend with lots of chocolate and time spent with each other. Every year we seem to have lots of plans, but this year we have only done things we have felt like on the day. Sleep-ins almost every morning, long walks in Kings Park and in the Perth Hills. We have cooked dinner for the family and hours have been spent on skype with family from Sweden. I have also taken time to practise yoga and of course had way too much chocolate. To be honest, I’m enjoying the last few right now that has been hidden in this silver egg from Day Birger & Mikkelsen. My dear friend Josefin bought this egg for me a few years ago and I always think of her when I bring it out for Easter ♥

Glad Påsk
Lovely Easter holiday! This is the time for Swedish kids to dress up as påskkärringar (Easter witches) in headscarves and paint their cheeks red with lots of freckles, before they go on their candy hunt. I remember knocking on every neighbors door on our street and in exchange of giving them a drawing we had made earlier or singing a song for them, they would give us Easter treats. Later that night, according to the tradition, we all pretended we would fly to “Blåkulla” (The Blue Mountain) for a big party with all of the other Easter witches. Ohh good old memories!

Bistro kitchen
White and stainless steel mixed with details of tarnished wood and marble. Me like! I came across these inspirational pictures from my favourite magazine SkönaHem

Kränku
I have a favourite tea that I love to drink on the weekend. I would drink it every day if I could, but the fact is that I have to savour it to make it last. The tea can only be bought on a Swedish island called Gotland, this is the place where my dear aunty Elsa lives. I spent every summer holiday there and the tea reminds me of it, the smell and the taste takes me back to great memories and in a flash I’m there. Unfortunately I’m running out, so I made sure I really enjoyed my last cup on the weekend.

Twilight Sailing
One of the best things to do on a Thursday night is to go twilight sailing. The other thing that makes it even better is when dear friends come along to enjoy it with us. We had a great evening on the water with lots of wind in our hair, it’s such a great way to unwind from a busy week and knowing that the weekend is close makes it even better. After the twilight sail we all shared a barbeque together and enjoyed some of the best chips you can find in Perth!
