Tine K Home’s spring/summer collection is all about rustic driftwood greys mixed with clean white linen. I love the simplicity and softness, oh and the blue pillows!

Tine K

One of my favourite brands for homewares and textiles is Tine K Home. The brand was funded by a Danish lady in 1999 and her collections is based on the passion for beautiful objects and sweet memories. She likes to create things that have a story to tell and that is something I like a lot. This post feature pictures of her own adorable home. I can only say one thing.. and that is that I would love to have a home like this one day!

Tomorrow I will designate a post to Tine’s new Spring 2012 collection, stay tuned!

Aussie beach home

We’ve come home from a lovely time with our friends in their
beach house down south. The house is set amongst trees with views over the
ocean and the beach is only a short walk away. The timber house has got lots of character and a great home feeling. This is one of my favourite places to go to and the home is always filled with the best of friends. I feel so relaxed there
and I come home to Perth with a new fresh approach.

Inspirational Home

Pics: Kristian Septimius Krogh via Fri

This amazing home is an old renovated farm, the old stable got turned into a brewery! Its great when old properties get a second life when renovated and turned into something different to the traditional cattle or dairy farm it once was. Lots of love has been put into a place like this.

Under the sky

Pics from Bobedre

I’m looking for balcony inspiration for our next apartment, I’m loving the small trees and plants. I wonder if something like that would survive the hot Australian climate..

Morning Frost

I captured these photos on a frosty and fresh morning in Sweden, when my fingers had turned into ice my grandmother waited for me inside with a hot cup of tea. Oh bliss – Fond memories from my last trip home keeps me feel warm inside.

Inspiration – Floorboards

Pics from Dinesen

We are moving into a new apartment this year, but like so many places the floors will be covered with carpet. I have for years dreamt of floorboards that only gets better with years of wear and tear or natural and raw concrete floors. This dream will need to wait until the day we move into a house that will be ours for a long time. Great floors are a life long investment and you wouldn’t want to have to part with them too early. These great floors have been created by Dinesen and the inspirational photos are from homes they have done in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Enjoy!

Köttbullar

Tonight I made one of our favourites - Meatballs and oven baked vegetables. My meatballs aren't as good as my mums, but I'm getting closer every time. I wonder what the secret is.. Last time she told me to try white pepper instead of black, that worked a treat.

Space

Image: Unknown via style-files

I dream of having a space for myself, an office and workplace where I can be creative and a little messy. A place where I can leave my current project, close the door and come back when I’m ready. It’s hard to work in a creative way when everything needs to be unpacked from a box and laid out on the dining table everythime I get an idea. My office would have light crispy things, fresh flowers and fabric details to brighten up the space. I want that light feeling of that life is full of possibilities.

LOVE

I can’t help myself when it comes to purchases from Paloma’s Nest, they make so many gorgeous yet simple little things.

Simple and tasty

I’ve had a relaxing morning with only myself as company, Adam was out doing a triathlon. I love some quiet time when I can be creative in the kitchen or working on different projects that I have on my mind. I also had a nice chat to my charming brother over skype, it’s always so nice to catch up and see each other. When Adam got home exhausted and hungry I treated him with a healthy salad. Chicken, almonds, currants and curry in one delicious mix!

bride+groom

I’m getting married to my fiancé at the end of the year, which means we have a wedding to plan! The venue and photographer was booked last year but the rest is still a white canvas. I have most things clear in my mind, but there are a lot that needs to be actioned. Today I had a meeting with lovely Tilopa at bride+groom. She had lots of ideas and was very helpful. We are hiring chairs and a few bits and bobs from them. Next week we have a meeting with a potential florist. I really wanted to do the flowers myself, but over coffee last weekend I had second thoughts when my friends told me I had to let go! Now I just need to mention it to my lovely hubby to be that a florist is back on the cards, hopefully he reads this post!

My Tuesday

My precious vase ♥ My grandmother gave it to me and her mother once gave it to her.

I rushed home at lunchtime today because a new magazine from Sköna Hem with its shiny cover was waiting for me. I was looking forward to a quiet hour with food and my mag before I had to go back to work. When I drove through the gate I saw my fiancés car, he was upstairs on a conference call. My idea of a quiet time in the corner of the couch looking through my Swedish gem was ruined.. It wasn’t too bad after all, I learned a few things from what the business coach said over the laptop speakers and I might even consider listening in on future sessions too.

Danish Residence

Images: Kira Brandt, femina.dk

A Danish artist lives in this great house from 1936 in Lyngby. The home is full of textiles and rugs in soft earth tones, beautiful wooden furniture and interesting findings from years of travel. I admire the pretty kitchen with its striking window doors that opens up to their cosy outdoor area. The kitchen stools from Kartell are a favourite of mine, I daydream of them for our future kitchen.
